HOW OFTEN DO LESSONS OCCUR?
The majority of students take 1 lesson, or class, each week every month. If there are students who prefer to take more than 4 lessons during the month then that can be arranged.
DO I HAVE TO TAKE A LESSON EVERY WEEK?
The minimum lessons taken are 4 lessons a month. This lesson format was designed for the students' success in mind.
If more than a week passes between lessons it's less likely to experience the kind of progress and results desired. Consistency is key.
WHAT DO I NEED FOR MY 1ST LESSON?
A keyboard or piano in the home is needed and most importantly the willingness to learn.
The 1st lesson is to access what level the student is and go over the literature that will be studied to accomplish the musical goals desired.
Exercises, repertoire, and technique will be touched upon as well. How to Prepare
DO WE NEED A PIANO AT HOME FOR PIANO LESSONS?
Yes. Either a good quality digital keyboard or an acoustic piano will be needed.
What matters most is having a proper instrument at home that supports consistent practice.
A full 88 key keyboard with touch sensitive action, and weighted keys are keywords you want to look for.
We can help you choose something appropriate for you or your child's age, goals, and stage of study.
DO YOU OFFER LESSONS FOR ADULTS?
Yes.
It's never too late to learn piano.
We teach adults of all levels through private lessons designed around your schedule and individual goals.
Some students have a clear objective in mind, while others are starting from scratch. Either way, we'll guide you every step of the way.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Within a few months progress will be seen.
However, with that being said, it all comes down to how much a student practices the music, technique and exercises being taught in the lessons.
The more practice, the sooner the results are seen. Like any skill, Consistency is important.
IF I NEED TO CANCEL A LESSON, DO I STILL GET CHARGED?
Monthly tuition covers your reserved weekly lesson or class time and is billed monthly whether or not the lesson is attended.
If you cancel 24 hours (or more) notice, a makeup credit is issued to your account.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson are not eligible for a makeup.
CAN I USE MAKEUP CREDITS INSTEAD OF PAYING TUITION?
They do not reduce or replace Monthly Tuition.
Your tuition secures your reserved weekly lesson slot, and makeup credits are available only to actively enrolled students.
ARE THERE RECITALS? IS IT REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE?
They are optional for our Adult students.
Recitals are well organized events where students of all levels share what they have been working on.
The support of our community is next level and majority of families find them to be some of the Highlights of their year.
